Pharmaceutical Industry's Most Production-Proven E-Pedigree Solution Provider offers planning tool for ePedigree and Serialization Compliance Scheduling
San Ramon, CA, June 30, 2008 – rfXcel Corporation, the leading provider of production-proven ePedigree Management solutions that allow manufacturers, distributors, and retailers to track the chain of custody of prescription drugs through the pharmaceutical supply chain, today announced the availability of a Timeline Analysis tool to help in planning out an implementation timeline for California ePedigree and Serialization compliance.
California’s decision to delay the compliance requirement to its electronic pedigree law until January 1, 2011 has provided more time for pharmaceutical companies to complete their implementations. However, with the strict resource and timeline requirements that Pedigree and Serialization implementation place on an organization, it’s extremely important for companies to start early enough to insure that they are compliant when the deadline comes.
The California Compliance Timeline Analyzer provides an effective tool for all members of the pharmaceutical value chain to develop a plan that’s specific to their own requirements. With individual tabs for manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers, the tool prompts the user for information such as the number of SKU’s, packaging locations, packaging lines, trading partners, etc. Based on the answers to these and other questions, the tool calculates work estimates for such things as label changes, IT infrastructure design, line/equipment design, direct labor, etc. Finally, it displays a detailed timeline, in the form of a Gantt chart, listing all of the various tasks associated with a trading partner’s specific implementation.
“January 1, 2011 is closer than you think”, said Thomas Pizzuto, VP of Client Services at rfXcel. “Tools like the Compliance Timeline Analyzer will provide valuable insight into the work scope necessary so that you can effectively mobilize at the right time to insure completion by the deadline”.
